Apotheke Wellness of Appleton makes sure that we always put education and the safety of our clients first.  In order to do this we strive to stay ahead of industry trends, news and topics.

We do this by maintaining active membership with the following organizations and certifications:

American Cannabis Nurses Association

The American Cannabis Nurses Association (ACNA)  is a national organization dedicated to expanding the knowledge base of endo-cannabinoid therapeutics among nurses. It was founded by a small group of dedicated nurses who saw the need for an organization to bring nurses together in a collegial and informational capacity to discuss the growing use of cannabis in medicine.

Nurses provide direct patient care, using a holistic approach that incorporates the biological, sociological and psychological factors of patients in their care. Hence, the public health considerations of cannabis use, the social and legal climate, and patient care issues are all directly relevant to clinical nursing practice.

The American Cannabis Nurses Association (ACNA) is pleased to release version 1.0 of Scope and Standards of Practice for Cannabis Nurses. The field of cannabis nursing is an emerging specialty in nursing, one which calls for a clear definition and domain of practice. This document follows the American Nurses Association (2015) Scope and Standards of Practice (third edition) and it is the first step toward ACNA’s goal of cannabis nursing being recognized as an official nursing specialty. Future steps include the development and addition of advanced practice nurse scope and standards, and consultation with the ANA regarding the nursing specialty recognition process. Eventually this work may lead to a clearly delineated board certification process for cannabis nursing.

Endocannabinoid System & Cannabidiol Certified

The course is accredited through the University of Louisville in accordance with the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) educational requirements, and provides a comprehensive overview of the endocannabinoid system (ECS), and the vital role it plays in various physiological functions of the human body.  This is the first, and currently, only, certification recognized by the AMA (American Medical Association) at this time.

Both Sarah & Jodi have acquired this certification in an effort to bring you the most up to date medically backed information.

Cannabinoid Industry Association

CBDIA empowers professionals in the cannabinoid industry with

education, advocacy, and community.

As members of the CBDIA, Sarah and Jodi will have access to  several certification programs in the near future, as well as continuing education, updates on industry trends, legislation and just overall information.

Certified CBD Coach - 2019

Sarah Fabry is also in the process of obtaining her CBD Coaching certification.  This certification takes several months to complete.  Once completed, Sarah, will have masters level knowledge of CBD as a product and other medical and professional implications in the industry.  Including mastery of best uses for CBD, dosing, and how to choose the best products for each client.

We look forward to being able to share this knowledge with you soon as Sarah works her way through the certification.

It is important to Sarah and Jodi that we change the misconceptions currently attached to cannabis therapy.  We do this by advocating for CBD Therapy and educating the community on CBD and Cannabis, maintaining open dialogue with community leaders, HR professionals and of course our community residents.  If you know of an organization that would benefit by learning more about how CBD can benefit the people thay care about, please let us know.  Our mission is to change the face of CBD and Cannabis therapy and make sure everyone is using it in a safe and effective way, but also in a way that abides by an workplace policies.  In an effort to not only spread the news, but also give back, we are a member of the following local organizations.

Sarah serves on the Board of the MDWA and also is Co-Chair of the 2019 Black & Pink Ball, and Fundraiser that recognizes a local non-Profit for their outstanding work in the Fox Cities community.
